Good Night – by Zombie Zak

Distilled through a teacup
The soul of all touched;
By memories are we bound
Shadows across the land.
Every now and then
Times we cannot comprehend.
These things that happen
Let none gainsay them;
Each, in their own way
Live their own lives.
There are always moments
Shared between souls;
Happy times and less than so
But combined, none the less, better.
Life passes on, though we may grieve;
Those who remain behind
Will always remember those
Gone ahead too early.
Grasses in the field,
Waving at the sky above
Another soul just flying by …
Good night, God rest,
Be at peace.

    Thank is beautiful. Must share and tweet to others.

  2. I’m enjoying reading your poetry. I’ve been a fan of Charles Bukowski for some time GOOD NIGHT really touched me. Thanks for baring your soul. Do you know SELF-PORTRAIT by David Whyte. I love the last line;
    “I have heard, in that fierce embrace, even the gods speak of God.”
    Powerful stuff.
